Hairy frogfish
It looks like a clump of sargassum algae but it's a frogfish. This one was in 12ft of water and we found it during our safety stop. I was breathing my buddy's air by the time I went up, shhh don't tell anyone...

Spiny seahorse (Hippocampus histrix)
Seahorses are fairly common on the reef, sitting out in plain sight but they are often difficult to spot until you light them up against the dark water. They hunt for tiny critters in the sand on reef edges.

Cockatoo leaf fish (Ablabys taenianotus)
These sit on the sand or nestled into parts of the reef looking like an old decaying leaf. It's always worth a second glance when you drift over old leaves, one of them may be a living creature.
